Policies

Booking & Payment Terms

  • A $250 non-refundable deposit is required to secure your event date.

    • For bookings that inlude THE STYLING package, an additional $250 styling deposit is required at the time of booking.

  • The remaining balance is due no later than 24hrs before your scheduled event.

  • A $500 refundable damage deposit is also due 24hrs prior to the event and will be returned within 5 business days post-event, provided no damage or excessive cleaning is required.

  • In the event any add-on items are booked but not used, their cost will be fully refunded.

  • No refunds will be issued for cancellations made within 24hrs of the event, or due to inclement weather.

  • Date changes are allowed up to 1 week prior to the event, but are subject to availability and must be confirmed in writing.

  • All confirmed clients receive a secure Client Portal link to manage their event info and payment schedule.

Liability Waiver & Guest Responsibility

By booking with Northrup Events, the client agrees to the following:

  1. Release of Liability

    The client, on behalf of themselves and their guests, voluntarily assumes all risks associated with the use of the Northrup Events property and amenities. The homeowner(s) and Northrup Events are not responsible for any accidents, injuries, or illnesses that occur before, during, or after the event.

  2. Pool & Hot Tub Use

    There is no lifeguard on duty. All guests using the pool or hot tub do so at their own risk. Children must be supervised at all times by a responsible adult. Floatation devices and swim safety gear are not provided.

  3. Property Care & Behavior

    The client assumes full responsibility for the behavior of their guests and any damage, theft, or loss that occurs during their event. Any repairs or cleaning beyond normal wear and tear will be deducted from the damage deposit.

  4. Alcohol & Conduct

    If alcohol is served, it is the responsibility of the host to ensure all guests drink responsibly. Northrup Events and the homeowner(s) are not liable for any alcohol-related incidents during or after the event.

  5. Pool & Sand Use

    All guests using the pool must rinse off in the outdoor shower after playing in the sandbox. This is essential to prevent sand from entering and damaging the pool system. Failure to follow this rule may result in additional cleaning fees deducted from the damage deposit.

Additional Information

Guest Arrival & Parking

To ensure smooth entry and respect for our neighborhood:

  • All guests must park on the street or in the cul-de-sac

  • Do not block any driveways under any circumstances

  • Guests must enter through the side gate directly into the backyard area

  • Please advise your guests to follow all signage and respect property boundaries

Noise & Music Policy

At Northrup Events, we want your celebration to be lively and joyful—while also respecting our neighbors and community.

  • Reasonable music and amplified sound are allowed until 9:00 PM

  • All outdoor noise (including music, speakers, and party games) must be lowered after 9:00 PM and fully off by 10:00 PM

  • No DJs, live bands, or subwoofers are permitted unless approved in advance

  • Guests are expected to be mindful of volume and language, especially when children are present

  • The host is responsible for ensuring all guests comply with the noise policy

Failure to follow the noise policy may result in early event termination or a portion of the damage deposit being withheld if complaints are received.
